Microsystems Academy Strategic Planning

As part of an on-going effort to "bring technology down to earth" Ohio MEMS has undertaken a strategic planning effort to raise $120K to launch a Microsystems Academy in Midtown Cleveland. This Academy will reach out to High School students, post-secondary students and workers interested in exploring the worl of MEMS technology and the jobs associated with this growing industry.

Open Source Database Project Announced

As start-up manufacturers grow and the commercialization steps become clear, an often over-looked but critical part of the MEMS product launch is a complete understanding of cost of goods sold, indirect costs, and work-in-progress, etc. A project to assist in inexpensive normalization of cost information has been started, the basis of which provided in a strategy document available here.

MEMS Website Resource Page Launched
March 2nd, 2003
A new MEMS-specific resource page has been launched that features information and links to books, MEMS subscription services, MEMS websites, and other MEMS-pertinant information. all accessible either through a series of "Resource Folders" or through a fast client-side database search routine. Users can download the database for operation, analysis, and usage offline.
